One bleary, dreary
winter's night
as I tossed and turned,
counting infinite loops of
haggard, bleating sheep,
my shadow
had a dream of me
Safe within the obscurity of
the truth of her dream's reality,
she dreamt
her obsidian gaze pierced through
the veils of my feigned ignorance,
seeing
recognition dawning upon my face
in silent reverie as I slipped
into the hidden beauty
nestled gently
within the darkened corners
of the reflection
she cast back at me.
winter's night
as I tossed and turned,
counting infinite loops of
haggard, bleating sheep,
my shadow
had a dream of me
Safe within the obscurity of
the truth of her dream's reality,
she dreamt
her obsidian gaze pierced through
the veils of my feigned ignorance,
seeing

in silent reverie as I slipped
into the hidden beauty
nestled gently
within the darkened corners
of the reflection
she cast back at me.
